Put an end to buzzing flies, itchy mosquito bites and spiders crawling all over the house. Protect yourself with the right insect screen on the window. Of course, the circumstances will determine which insect protection is right for you. If you live in rent, you are often not allowed to drill into window frames. However, if you are a homeowner, you alone decide. However, not everyone likes the idea of damaging their windows to install an insect screen. Given the multitude of options, this is not absolutely necessary.

Insect screens for windows

We will show you which types of insect screens for windows are available on the market and which system you can use to reliably protect yourself from small, uninvited guests with little wings and crawling legs.

Insect screens for windows with tension frames

A nice thing when “fighting” against annoying insects is a tension frame like the WinClip Bug. It keeps the fabric of your fly screen taut on all four sides. This means your insect protection always makes a neat impression.

Without drilling or gluing, it can be easily and easily attached to all windows. No complicated self-assembly is necessary and no tools are required either. To do this, simply measure the window frame in advance. This means you will receive your precisely fitting clamping frame, which you can simply insert. Since a clamping frame can be inserted in just a few steps, it can be removed just as easily, for example for cleaning windows. Removed quickly and without residue, no adhesive residue remains in the window frame. It is therefore reusable and therefore particularly environmentally friendly. The fabric of the stenter frame is simply cleaned with a damp cloth. The insect screen in the form of a tension frame blends unobtrusively into the overall look of your house. Of course, windows and shutters remain 100% functional and you can see outside clearly.

Insect protection roller blind

The insect protection roller blind, which can be fully integrated into the facade or roof window, is also practical. It can be installed both inside and outside. If you want to open the window for ventilation, for example, you simply push up the blind. When the window is closed, the retracted roller blind ensures you have a good view.

Pivot frame window

Another option for upgrading your windows to be insect-proof are so-called pivot frame windows. Particularly if you have to open and close your windows frequently, for example because you want to water your flowers or herbs on the windowsill outside, rotating frame windows are ideal as insect protection. They are easy, quick and carefree to operate – just like “normal” windows. The flexible, individually tailored rotating frame hangs on hinges and can be opened in one direction, i.e. inwards or outwards.

Pendulum frame

So-called pendulum frames are also suitable as practical insect protection. Swing windows can be opened in both directions - both inwards and outwards. This means you have a lot of freedom of movement and flexibility at your windows. Pendant frames are particularly suitable for floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony doors.

Pleated

Pleated fabric is a fabric that takes up little space when folded. Pleated insect screens offer an alternative to rotating frames. Due to the greater strain on the fly screen, pleated fly screens are made of stronger material than conventional pleated blinds.

Sliding frame

Sliding frames require a guide in the window reveal. This provides you with permanent insect protection that you can open and close. However, this fly screen only works if you have enough space on the sides.

Integrated insect protection systems

Integrated insect protection systems are the perfect solution for anyone who is planning a new building or replacing windows. In this case, you can even opt for windows with color-coordinated fly screens. Insect protection roller blinds with electronic control Insect protection roller blinds with electronic controls are extremely comfortable. This gives you the option of retracting or extending your fly screen at the touch of a button. Simply choose the feature that is most important to you at the moment. Or set the programming of your smart control accordingly.
